Kate Alexander, DVM
Dr. Kate Alexander is a Colorado native and grew up in the Conifer, Colorado area. She first developed her love for horses growing up as an active member in her local 4-H club. Dr. Alexander received her Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Sciences from Colorado State University, where she volunteered as a CSU Ram Handler, taking the school mascot CAM the Ram to university events. During her undergraduate career, Dr. Alexander completed a veterinary assistant internship at a large referral hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, where she developed a love for neonatology and internal medicine. Dr. Alexander earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 2020. While in veterinary school, she worked as an afterhours radiology technician and afterhours equine surgery technician for emergency procedures. Dr. Alexander has trained with national animal rescue and emergency response teams to assist in large animal evacuations from natural disasters and other rescue situations. From these experiences she has developed a strong interest in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, and neonatal care.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Alexander enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and exploring the beautiful state of Colorado. Dr. Alexander could not be more excited to join the LEqMC team!
