Dr. Marvin Beeman, DVM

Born in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Dr. Beeman was active in the equine world from early childhood throughout his life. He made significant contributions to the education of equestrians across the United States and internationally. An innovator in the equestrian world, Dr. Beeman was honored with many awards.
He became an equine practitioner in 1957, specializing in a variety of lameness and musculoskeletal issues.
When he was not caring for horses, Dr. Beeman could often be found on the hunt field with the Arapahoe Hunt Club. He served as a mounted fox-hunting whipper beginning in 1972 and as huntsman beginning in 1986. He also played polo, where he was rated at 3 goals, and enjoyed trail riding. He was a longtime member of Round Up Riders of the Rockies, having joined in 1965, and served on their Board of Directors.
Dr. Beeman was an original partner and emeritus partner of Littleton Veterinary Clinic, later Littleton Large Animal Clinic, which is now Littleton Equine Medical Center.
Dr. George Marvin “Marvin” Beeman, DVM, a legendary equine veterinarian, respected leader in the horse industry, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and lifelong steward of Colorado agriculture, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 93.
