Norah Young, DVM

Dr. Norah Young, DVM

Dr. Young grew up in northeast Ohio where her grandmother introduced her to the world of horses. She quickly became immersed, with all of her free time spent riding or showing hunt seat and dressage. She had always admired the veterinary field, but knew it was the career for her while working with veterinarians to rehab her horse, Devlin, from a fractured radius.

She went on to pursue an Equine Pre-Veterinary degree at Otterbein University in Westerville, OH, where she competed nationally on the intercollegiate hunt seat and dressage teams. After her undergraduate degree, she moved south to earn her DVM at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. There, she fostered an interest in sports medicine and emergency critical care and was awarded for excellence in large animal surgery. Dr. Young is ecstatic to be joining LEMC! In her free time, she can be found hiking, rock climbing, or jogging with her dog, Ringo.
