Surgery

The range of surgeries routinely performed at Littleton Equine Medical Center include all aspects of orthopedic, soft tissue, and emergency procedures. Our board-certified surgeons are able to offer the latest approaches and techniques available, including minimally invasive procedures and standing surgeries when appropriate. We always strive to provide the best care possible to our patients, clients, and referring practitioners.

Our facilities and surgeons are able to assist you with all equine surgical needs from routine castrations, lacerations, and enucleations to more advanced arthroscopic and laparoscopic procedures, upper airway surgeries, and sinus and dental problems. In addition, our team is able to provide 24-hour emergency surgery, including colic surgery and fracture repair, to help you and your horse when the unexpected occurs.

Our dedicated team of veterinarians and technicians provide the most up-to-date and safest anesthesia practices available, including assisted recovery to reduce the risk of injury.
